We crossed the border near Noonan, ND. The Canadian border guard wanted to know why we were crossing at such a remote location. Suspicious he says. Then he finds out we are from Tennessee, and he points out that TN is a handgun state. He then proceeds to go through our truck, the front seat, the back seat, the bed of the truck and yes he even has us open up the camper and he goes through the drawers, doors & opens luggage. When he finds the CPAP, his attitude and the conver
sation changed. He tells us he's driving his wife crazy with his snoring. We give him a short lesson in sleep apnea & REM sleep, encourage him to see his physician & off we go.

We enter Saskatchewan early. Saskatchewan means "swift water". This province boast more than 100,000 rivers & lakes. The soil is very dark & rich. Farmland surrounds the roadway. There are the most beautiful fields of yellow flowering plants for miles on end. They are lovely.

The first town of any size is Moose Jaw. We stop for gas. The sign says $103.9......

Trouble with that sign is it's the price per liter not gallon. Math whizes. How many liters to a gallon? How much per gallon is the gas? Additionally the 1.oo US equals 1.08 Canadian. Now how much is that gas per gallon?
It's been raining non stop for 372 miles, glad the roads are very straight and level. We get to the largest city, Saskatoon. Canada doesn't have interstates; the main transcanadian highway runs right through the town. Thank goodness it's not rush hour.
It was 63F when we got up this morning; at 1:00pm it's dropped to 59F.
Lloydminister is the final city in Saskatchewan, it's borders the provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta. This is the only city on a Canadian border & they have no sales tax. Naturally we had to stop & do a little shopping!
The sun is high in the sky and we decided to head on toward Edmonton, Alberta.
We stop at Glowing Embers RV park west of Edmonton.
It's 10:22pm when we get parked & set up. It's still DAYLIGHT! WOW..What a day......
