Sunday. August 9....left Dawson Creek at 6:30 local time. Driving was horrible and the mood in the car tense and stressful. No cell phone service except very brief times today. Didn't get to talk to anyone about PaPa til we landed in Watson Lake RV park. We were able to get IM messages to Dara & Nancy. Papa is stable now and still expecting cardiac cath & stent on Monday. We will have no cell phone or no Internet for a few more hundred miles.

Today's travel was like the horror stories people talk about the Alaska highway. We drove about 12 hours. The 1st 4-5 hours we were in fog. Then a little rain. A little road construction & a LOT of gravel roads.

The first 200 plus miles took us through the northern Canadian Rockies. The scenery is incredible. We have solid stone treeless mountains, hundreds of evergreen covered mountains, spectacular rivers and lakes and lots of animals.

This next photo is for Mark...
Mikey Webb is #1.....Wherever he goes.....

Please continue to remember PaPa in your prayers......

Praying that Mike's dad will be okay. He is in good hands with Dara for sure.

Please continue to enjoy your trip. I love your blog pictures. Can't wait for Andy to completely retire so we can take off for long periods.

Stay safe!

Y'all stay safe, ya hear! We love you and are praying for Papa as well as you. I'm sure Dara is loving the opportunity to be in charge of Papa!

Keep making pictures, too. Teresa and I are having a good time following your adventures. Remember, catch you one in Saskatchewan! LOL! Brother Joe
